Recapturing Vibrio 2015, the biggest chapter of M.Z.U

VIBRIO 2015, was organised by the Mizoram University Students’ Council( 2014-2015)  on the 13-17^th April 2015. The main intent behind this festival is to create an ambiance and a platform where all the students can grow, develop and experience diversified events within this short period. The MZUSC held its first meeting on December 2014 and the first Vibrio 2015 Commitee was created. By the commencement of the new semester, various organizing committees for all the events were formed. For all the organising committees formed, each member of the MZUSC Office Bearers were appointed as convenors. The search for sponsors began and the Organising Commitees were able to gain support from- Eveon Touch, Lahmingthanga and Sons, Bethel Electronics, Ar Em Agencies, F. Hrangvela Industries, Diva Bridals, Rosey’s Boutique, Beauty Buyz, Zo Spa, Samaritan  Society of Mizoram.  Food stalls were set up during the course of the festival and limited souvenir VIBRIO 2015 badges of limited edition were also sold. The proceeds gained from the badges were donated to Gran Sabra. VIBRIO 2015 media partners - Vanglaini and Zonet updated the Vibrio news on a regular basis and Zonet broadcasted full coverage of the festical frequently on their dedicated channels. The Depaertment Of Mass Communication undertook full coverage - both still and video during the entire fest.

In the words of MZUSC President, R. Vanlalhmangaihsanga “We may not be able to compete with  the festivals of other Indian Universities but with the collective effort of the Student Council, Organising Committee and the rest of the MZU family  the fest has always been successfully organised. In the years to come, the MZU Student Council  hopes to heightened the quality of Vibrio  to be at par with other top level Indian University Festivals.”

VIBRIO, as organised by the Mizoram University Students’ Council  is an annual  fest held in Mizoram  University. The word ‘VIBRIO’ is derived from the English word ‘VIBRANT’. In the year 2007, the student leaders under PGSU organised the first ever MZU festival at Millenium Centre Rooftop, entitled ‘INFERNO’ as a one day affair. From 2008 onwards, the duration of the fest was extended from a one day to a five day affair, the variety and number of events expanded and the venue was shifted to Mizoram University Campus. From the year 2013 onwards, the MZUSU organised a contest among the  students to  nominate  a new name for the fest and thus,  among the submissions the name VIBRIO was selected.  VIBRIO became the new name for the MZU fest and the previous name INFERNO became the name given to the final night of the fest. The closing night, INFERNO is an enchanting programme that incorporates a fusion of songs from the top Mizoram Artists; top bands like Boomerang, Triau Trax and concludes with a Jam Session.

In the words of MZUSC General Secretary, V.L. Remruatfela, “For the organisers, it was  a  tedious task to organise and execute  this fest. Also, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire MZU family, all the invitees, our media partners, all our sponsors and contestants for the various events  of Vibrio 2015.”

We Welcome You Twenty Fifteen

I want to thank God as He is the only one who put me through to the pretty journey of 2014 till 2015 to begin the untold Journey. I have spent this holiday season the best as I could. The worst thing as a living human that I face is that after attending University, final exams happen on the month when my savior is born. The unusual part, internship followed till 22 of December. I have my personal project which I accomplished with the support of dear ones. And later comes the Christmas with peaceful times from family, friends and typical church activities. Photography implanted on me during like this season, taking peoples who want Christmas & New Year photograph inside Church or in feast. All that I mentioned are brief as I really felt it is better to show in photograph and explain after one another. Sorry, I almost forget to say about facing NET exam on 28th December, the best part that it was great chance for wishing friends and meeting classmates after a long time.

‘Joy to the World the Lord has come, Let earth received the King.’ After few days when exams are over, a blissful Advance Christmas function was held for Mass Communication family. Our part of a studio where we use to held different programmes had been decorated than ever. It seriously impressed our teachers they just can’t stop talking about it. Though I didn’t mention during the function, I had to conduct alone the function as there was unexpected happening to the original host who could have illuminate the Advance Christmas better. Among light programmes I was also incharge for entertaining part. We selected after string of nomination, the facebook status of the year award which goes to Lalrinthari Zadeng.

Minimum 30 days internship @ Vanglaini. I join lately from December last year after exams are over. Good relations I had now, i finished up to six days till holiday and I will start from 5th January to complete the rest 24 days remaining.

Christmas & New Year

This last holiday season was great and I, for the first time in Mizoram covered more than 20 places of decorated Christmas lights as each locality YMA(Young Mizo Association) tried there best to win the first prize as the government announced that the best will be given award.

Here is my video. Took three nights till 2 a.m mostly for shooting and for editing I had spent 23rd December whole night beginning early from the night. I was able to post in youtube by 24th of December 2014. Thank God, cousins & a friend Fela who helped me accomplished my video. I catch up with my friend and celebrity in Mizoram. She's living in Venghlui too, and we have been on activities in church youth fellowship together for many years.

Lalrinfela(Hiccup Ralte) and I were having a cup of tea in Lalrinthari's house who stand next to me. I was lucky as their home is located near Bungkawn Christmas decoration.  

My dear cousin brother helped me out on the third night of shooting as I still had to cover for Bethlehem, College Veng and Armed Veng and Chhinga Veng Christmas decoration. He is dedicated and it's on the 23rd December night I am done with shooting, I started editing from around 9 p.m and able to finished in the morning of 24th December 2014.

I am happy that my post on youtube about my Christmas Lights @ Aizawl 2014 video, I received over thousand views with likes and comments not only from Mizoram but around different parts of India. 

On 25th December 2015, the date we celebrate as the birth of our saviour Lord Jesus Christ. He is not afraid to face the miserable and persecution, obeying his father words so he is born like a child. The exact date has been a controversial issue, but this should not be the problem, if we let Jesus born in our everyday activities, it is all fine.

We attended church service in the morning, folks wants photograph for marking the important occasion so I was well busy after church. I usually missed Christmas refreshment distributed after church service is over.
